2There are advantages and disadvantages of raising capital from VCs for Web3 projects.
The main disadvantage or risk is that there is a possibility that a VC or a small number of VCs end up controlling a significant portion of tokens of some Web3 protocol. Web3 projects that raise funds from VCs should be very mindful of the token distribution.
On the other hand, the interest of VCs in Web3 projects is very encouraging and a great indicator of the growing potential of Web3. Raising from good VCs in the early stage is very beneficial. Great VCs invest for the long run. They are strategic and bring not only money but large networks, partnerships, and advice.
